Swiss Camping Gear -- Style and Efficiency in One

When you think about supplies needed for camping, Switzerland may not come to mind. Perhaps it should, as Swiss camping gear represents some of the most well-designed, useful and attractive types of outdoor equipment found anywhere. Of course, this is nowhere more evident than in the Swiss Army knife. This knife does it all. You get not only a folding knife but other implements as well, which may include a corkscrew, fingernail file, tweezers, scissors, pliers, screwdrivers and more. Exactly what comes on a Swiss Army knife depends on the style you purchase. There are models that are basic and ones that are extensive. There are even Swiss Army knives in feminine colors and smaller sizes to fit in a woman's handbag or pocket, like the Swiss Army Swisscard in Translucent Pink which is technically not a knife but is loaded with handy implements.

Knives aren't the only thing the Swiss are good at crafting. The Swiss Gear company makes a variety of fantastic tents for all size groups. One popular style is the Falera Family Dome Tent, which sleeps five and offers incredible protection from the elements including sonic sealed floors for maximum water resistance. The Kaiservilla is another popular style for families and groups. It sleeps up to eight people and features functional adornments like a screened porch tent and rain shingle. Or, check out the fashionable Valais style, which offers room for seven, windows designed for ultimate cross ventilation and a D style Dutch door.

The Swiss Gear company makes a lot more than tents. Other products crafted by this great company include aluminum water bottles, backpacks and more. Another handy Swiss made product is the Swiss Spice salt and pepper shaker, made for camping. This neat little device keeps both salt and pepper safe and dry at all times. Distinguishing the salt from the pepper is simple to do even in the dark because the tops are different shapes. This item can also be used to store pills because it is secure and waterproof.

As you can see, Swiss camping gear represents some of the finest in the world. Whether you're heading to the Alps for some mountain climbing or to a wooded area near you, Swiss gear is an ideal choice. When you find a product made in Switzerland, you can almost always be assured that it is innovatively crafted, of fine quality and designed to last a long time under rugged conditions. At the very least, make sure you've always got a good Swiss Army knife on hand!
